Understanding the BARE HR Technology

Precision Diode Laser Energy Delivery

The BARE HR system utilizes a high-performance diode laser wavelength optimized for targeting melanin within hair follicles.

This selective photothermolysis process damages the follicle while minimizing injury to surrounding tissue, resulting in long-term hair reduction.

Technology Benefits

  • Effective follicular destruction
  • Uniform energy distribution
  • Faster treatment coverage
  • Enhanced treatment consistency
  • Reduced patient discomfort
  • Improved safety profile
  • High treatment efficiency

Technology

During laser hair removal, a laser light is applied to the area to be treated. The light waves are absorbed by the hair and converted into heat that damages the hair follicle. This damage causes the hair to fall out and prevents the follicle from producing new hair. Traditional laser hair removal devices only have one wavelength of laser light applied to the hairs. This limits what types of hair and body areas can be treated by individual lasers. It can also make it more difficult for patients to achieve their desired treatment results.

Bare HR uses three different laser wavelengths that can be administered simultaneously to address multiple types, colors, and textures of hair, destroy the follicle, and prevent future hair growth. The ultra-short pulses of laser light also make Bare HR significantly more comfortable than other options and minimize the discomfort that occurs following treatment. Traditional lasers have higher temperatures and remain on the skin longer, which can lead to skin redness and sensitivity that lasts a week or longer, but with Bare HR™, the ultra-short pulses of light mean reduced treatment times and patients have little to no side effects that only last the first few days after treatment.

Optimal results from treatment

Minimize sun exposure to decrease the risk of skin damage or sensitivity.

Do not pluck, tweeze, or wax for several weeks to a month before treatment.

If possible, avoid blood thinners, aspirin, and anti-inflammatory medications for 24 hours before your procedure.

Shave and/or trim the treatment area one day prior to the procedure. This removes hairs that can be heated by the laser, causing pain. However, shaving leaves the follicle in place to be removed by the laser.

Wear breathable, loose-fitting clothing to ensure comfort throughout the procedure.
